How GCX handles beta data

GCX collects only the information needed to run accounts, newsletters, community tools, sponsor inquiries, and marketplace beta interest while trading remains closed.

Information GCX Stores

GCX may store account email, profile details, newsletter signups, collector waitlist requests, sponsor inquiries, community posts, comments, moderation reports, and basic traffic or source-page metadata used to operate and improve the site.

How Data Is Used

GCX uses this information to authenticate members, display community activity, send requested updates, prioritize card and game database work, review abuse reports, and respond to sponsor or beta marketplace interest.

Marketplace Beta Limits

The marketplace is not live. Waitlist submissions save interest only and do not create listings, sales, trades, payment obligations, or seller accounts. GCX does not collect card numbers, PayPal credentials, shipping labels, payout details, or payment-provider account data in the current beta.

Retention and Deletion

GCX retains beta records only as long as needed for operations, safety, debugging, or launch planning. Before public launch, GCX needs a formal deletion-request workflow and unsubscribe process for email products.

Your Choices

During beta, members should be able to request account, profile, newsletter, waitlist, sponsor, or community-data review through the GCX contact page. Email unsubscribe and deletion workflows should be finalized before public launch.

Third Parties

GCX may use infrastructure providers such as Supabase for authentication and storage. Future payment, shipping, analytics, email, or fraud-prevention providers must be disclosed before those features are enabled.

Contact

Privacy questions, deletion requests, and beta data concerns should be sent through GCX Contact until a dedicated privacy inbox is published.

Policy Updates

This policy should be reviewed before public launch and whenever GCX adds real marketplace listings, payment processing, shipping workflows, analytics, or new account features.
