GCX Trust

Marketplace and editorial standards

GCX trading stays in beta until verification, condition rules, source methodology, moderation, and payment protections are clear enough for collectors to inspect before using them.

Verification

How GCX checks listings

Listings will require verified accounts, clear front/back photos, timestamped ownership proof for higher-risk items, and seller history once marketplace activity begins.

  • Email-confirmed accounts before commenting or trading.
  • Photo checklist for raw cards, sealed product, games, consoles, and bundles.
  • Extra review for unusually high-value or frequently counterfeited items.
Condition

Card and product standards

GCX condition labels will separate cards, sealed boxes, games, consoles, accessories, and mixed bundles so buyers are not comparing unlike items.

  • Raw card listings must call out surface, corner, edge, crease, and centering issues.
  • Sealed product must disclose dents, tears, crushed corners, and wrap concerns.
  • Games and consoles must identify tested status, included accessories, region, and known defects.
Editorial

Source methodology

GCX market and preorder trackers must distinguish official facts, reputable reporting, retailer listings, secondary asking prices, and rumors.

  • MSRP, reported MSRP, retailer price, and presale asking price are labeled separately.
  • Presale pricing is never described as settled market value.
  • Rumors and leaks stay out of core guides unless explicitly labeled and editorially necessary.
  • Corrections and update policy explains how GCX fixes errors and preserves living guides.
Image Rights

Artwork and card images

GCX does not assume that released card art, game box art, logos, screenshots, or product photos are free to republish. When usage rights are unclear, pages use sourced metadata, correctly proportioned placeholders, and links to official or approved image sources instead of copying the image into GCX.

  • Rights-managed card art should stay source-link-only until an approved display path exists.
  • Official product images need source tracking and usage review before they become reusable site assets.
  • Pages should preserve image attribution, source links, and rights-status notes where practical.
Support

Moderation and disputes

Real-money trading will not open until GCX has report handling, dispute intake, refund expectations, seller verification, and payment-provider rules published.

  • Members will be able to report listings, comments, profiles, and suspected abuse.
  • Dispute rules will explain evidence expectations before a transaction starts.
  • Marketplace fees, payment processing costs, and support limits will be disclosed before launch.
Privacy / Terms

Beta privacy and terms

GCX is collecting newsletter, waitlist, sponsor, and community account information for beta operations only while formal privacy and marketplace terms are finalized.

  • No public marketplace listing, payment, or trade is created from the collector waitlist.
  • Newsletter and waitlist submissions store source page, referrer, consent version, and timestamp metadata.
  • Full privacy, terms, refund, and dispute policies should be published before real-money trading opens.
